The Ryedale Plan: Local Plan Strategy - Notice of Examination

The Secretary of State has appointed Inspector Stephen J Pratt BA (Hons) MRTPI from the Planning Inspectorate to conduct the Examination.

The Council gave notice in accordance with Regulation 24 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, of the independent Examination of the Local Plan Strategy. Hearing sessions took place in September and October 2012 at the District Council's Offices, Ryedale House, Malton, North Yorkshire YO17 7HH.

The Inspector has now issued his Interim Conclusions on the local plan strategy and this is available to view below.

Consultation for 6 weeks will take place on - and be limited to - those suggested changes to the Strategy set out in the "Proposed Changes" schedule, which has been compiled as the Local Plan Strategy has undergone examination. This is likely to start in January 2013 and will be made available on this page. However participants in the Examination will also be informed directly when the consultation takes place.
